Hello Charles, My name is Jesse and I’m the definition of a begginer. I to have the information overload problem I have bought several so called step by step programs too. Every single one of them say we will show you not tell you, but what they don’t mention is you have to buy this and then that and you must have this in order for those to work and I’m fed up. This is my last go at this for I’m truly frustrated at the lack of integrity on the internet. My next step will be throwing my computer out of the window. Can you actually show me how to do this and not tell me how?
Hey Jesse Fisher,
You have described me. I am also fed up.
Hey, Charles.
Just finished listening to the podcast and wanna say thanks for taking the time to go over all of our questions and problems.
I realize we all need to focus on the list, but I am not sure PPC is the answer for beginners. Quick, yes. Easy, no.
In which case, most will have to turn to article marketing, which, although slower, is the safest route for someone with no finances.
At any rate, I agree that list building is of utmost importance and something I need to concentrate on more.
Thanks again for the info.
Robert
Hi Charles,
Great podcast – you don’t pull any punches, and I very much appreciate that. I too am a beginner and have been “hornswaggled” a couple of times, but that was when I had my head in the clouds and wasn’t focusing on exactly what it takes to get on line and make that first sale. Once burned, twice careful; and that is why I for one welcome the way you shoot from the hip.
Thanks very much,
Kris
Hi Jesse,
I understand where you are coming from. I often wonder how people can sell a complete system if you have to spend thousands more of more upsells and other “Stuff”
You need 1 hosting account from hostgator, 1 domain name, 1 aweber to constant contact account and access to some plr to get started.
From that point you can start with articles or if you have put some money into PPC then you are ready to go.
Thanks
Charles
Hi Kris,
I’m glad you like my style, its just how I am.
Thanks
Charles
Hi Robert,
The list is the key to making money online, as a matter of fact everything else is a byproduct of a good email list.
Hi Charles,
Enjoyed your podcast. Straight & to the point w/no BS. I take notes (have to) on audios but couldn’t ‘back it up’ to replay a segment of it without stopping it and having to restart from the beginning again!!!
Q: Can you (next time) use an audio tool where the listener can ‘replay’ a segment without having to start from the beginning again??, kindof like the bar at the bottom of a video where one could jot down the ‘time’ at a particular segment (via the notes taken) so they (the customer/listener) could go back to it later?
You might consider this in reference to your coaching program that you’re going to offer later.
One more question for you:
Are you a John Wayne fan?
Please reply to my email on this one as I’m not versed on Twitter/RSS or any of that other ‘stuff’.
Thanks,
David/Dave
Is this the only place to get feedback from you Charles? I have a question about the SEO course and free web site. It says that all I have to do is copy and paste into the HTML of my site and it will appear. I don’t currently have a site so how can this be done?
Hey Charles – great podcast.
You do seem to have a knack for taking something that seem so overwhelmingly complicated and make it sound – dare I say – easy. As a business owner in the service industry for 15+ years I agree with everything you say about “the list” being king – without a list, especially in this economy, you are dead in the water.
I have been “looking into” online marketing for the past year or so. I’ve gone through the guru induced info overload and recently decided to opt out of more lists than I can count just to help maintain my sanity.
Now I do have fairly good self taught html skills, have set up and hosted many teleseminars and webinars for my “offline” businesses and that kind of thing so mine isn’t a so much a technical newbie challenge.
My biggest mental log jam is how to decide upon a niche and / or micro-sub-niche to start in.
I guess I feel that if I am going to need to learn all about effective SEO and PPC to be able to test opt-in offers to build a list, create valuable autoresponder series to keep that list active and find quality affiliate products to be able to monetize that list…
then I should probably start with a niche that I have a fighting chance to make some money in.
So here I sit feeling stuck in the mud, spinning my wheels and in need of a good push
Thanks again for all the great info!!
