One of the big money makers that I have been using is doing short videos about the product. Then post the video on youtube and give it a great keyword rich title and you will get a lot of views.
Also make sure you are working on the web2.0 model.
Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

Nice video, but I don’t know what CPA and IM and AM is all about. I’m impressed at how there seems to be so many people who are doing well with it.
Meanwhile, the collection people are after me…

Hey Charles:
The color effects on your front porch are absolutely stunning – is that just the sun and the clouds doing it?
On your content: I agree that hopping from one opportunity to the next is bad and one of the biggest temptations in internet marketing.
But how do you know the difference between “testing” (and failing fast) and opportunity hopping?
Everybody would stick to something they kno works, right?
Cheers,
Thomas

You are correct! Hit the nail on the head! Problem is finding what it is your good at I guess? I’m a problem solver in offline life…I have to babysit 50 home builders everyday that are complete idiots! I sell them lumber, doors, millwork etc….I find it hard that they are still in business! I’d run circles around them! But…..I want to use the little I know about anything and put my computer to work to make my living and get away from the boneheads that I have to deal with day in and day out in the offline world. TO be honest Adsense and Clickbank really intrigue me….but these Clickbank “Guru’s” and there crooked marketing is about to drive me nuts! Just want more and more and more money to get what you thought you were getting in the first place. I don’t run that way.

Hi Thomas
That is just the sun and clouds going by.
Did you see this video
http://charleskirklandblog.com/are-you-following-a-system-to-make-money-or-is-this-just-a-hobby/
The sun moving and the clouds make it really nice.
Testing is just to see if you like that kind of business at all.
Thats like Ebay, article marketing, adsense, blogging, affiliate marketing, ppc, info pub. etc.
Once you find something that you like then just keep working at it until you the system working and then just scale it up and watch you profits.
I hope this helps.

Hi there Charles,
Spot on as usual! I have been online for a year now and its only in the last few weeks where I have actually focussed on one particular project that I have finally seen some success.
However, I must say that from a personal point of view I do not regret flitting about because it gave me the chance to see what I liked and also what I was good at !
I agree with Andrew, email can be a huge distraction. I now limit myself to checking first thing with a cup of tea, once at lunchtime and once before I call it a wrap for the day.
Seems to work
Keep up the good work Charles – always good to hear what you have to say
May your wealth grow with you

Hi Charles:
Thanks for your thoughts on diversity, and how it can dilute your efforts to get thinks moving. We have spent eight months doing just that and have had minimal success. I guess it’s time to pick one of our models and go for it .
Thanks Clayton

Spot on Charles!
I think you summed it up with what we get cut up in Internet Marketing. I do have a model I’m working on, but I have to admit I get distracted allot with my mail, although I don’t spend much time reading the content of the emails. And it get worst when I don’t check my emails everyday… then I have a mountain of emails to read which will take me 2 to 3 more times of my productive time. And the question I ask myself is what should I do? Should I unsubscribe to some newsletters? And if so, which ones?
I’m trying to send traffic to my sites with article and video marketing. I’m trying to raise some funds ($1,500 to be precise) and I’d like to know if you know other free traffic methods I can use besides these one?
Regards,
Maurice

Hi Jonathan
Email can be one of the biggest time suckers you will ever find online. I’m done to checking email only 4 times a day.
I’m glad you are making headway online.

Hi Charles,
As always, great content!
I need the inspiration.
I have been looking for something and has been bombarded with offers. And since I am unemployed with huge debt hanging over me needing of huge amount of $$$ yesterday – I am not thinking clearly and suffer that paralysis of analysis plus all the shiny offers with promises to make a gazillion dolloars by midnight tonight.
I reckon the biggest problem is finding out 1st what I am good at (I have been working a J O B so long I don’t even know what I like anymore), and second a real deal model to work and stick with that won’t get me deeper in debt than I already am. It is hard sorting thru all the BS offers and everything looks so good.
Sorry for the Whining.
Anyhow – Even at 52 and knowing nothing about computers and Internet Stuff, I am determined to find and work something that will hopefully quickly make me enough to keep from having to get another slave job (did that for over 30 years and know I don’t like that!)
Thank you again for your blog, the content and Honesty in it.
Robert

Thanks for your video, you are absolutlely right. I tend to try something and if it doesn’t work the first time I go to a complete different system, and this is very inefficient, a waste of time and money.

charles – what a refreshing video – and at the right time! (isnt it great when the universe chucks up just what you need at the EXACT moment you need it!)
so many products to read digest and apply – just started , finally, took time off work to do this and between procrastination and no focus – the time is fading fast.
one question for now – starting with no money – how do you promote a product if you cant afford to buy it to check out if its worth putting your honesty behind it? credibility is so important maybe i should assume another name for now? get some income and then use that as investment capital and move over to my real name?
cheers

Hi, thanks by the video, it’s great content. How Hard is to someone who is just starting, I had try som cpa network, buy has been rejected because my site dosnĀ“t get the neccesary trafic.
Affiliate seems to be the best start, but every time is more difficult because one has to compete againg many big already succeful people on the arena.
So is very important to choose the right keyword to go for.
I say, as “Jhony Walker say keep walking” and we will get results.
Thanks.

Charles, Thanks for the video. I really like videos as I can judge the sincerity of what’s being said from them and you are really sincere. Thanks for the information re: the business models. It helps crystallize my ideas as I’m a newbie.

Hi Melanie,
Getting the right business model from the start is the fastest way to go from a newbie to guru. Just stick to what works for you and the rest will be easy. Kinda

HI Mark
To get started I would create a squidoo page and post some articles and do a few blog post. All free by the way other then time.
Just tell the product owner what you are doing and show him some other pages that you have done and a lot of people will give you free access to the product in return

Very good and helped to motivate me to do something, but my question is what if you are so new you don’t know what it is to do or what you would be good at?

The one thing I can tell you that I wish I would have done years ago was to start building your list. Nothing else matters but that.
Your INCOME WILL BE ABOUT YOUR LIST.

I agree it takes time and focus but just started and all I can do is promote as an affiliate. I think my next step is to get my own product as I saw you do on the tutorial videos. But something is holding me back.

Agree, your video hits home to some degree. I have a slightly different issue.
The unspoken reasons that we bend to our peers (family or friends) as we are on the quest for greatness, just to make some extra money, or so that we don’t have to get a job.
As much as I love having friends and family around they can block our success. They talk negative about what we are doing or trying to do or say that we are spending to much time of something that will never work, in their eyes. Even though they don’t understand what we are doing they still criticize.
How we deal with them is up to us.
